The hour glass shape of a woman was emphasized by using a long exposure as she shifted her hips from one side to the other while trying to keep areas above and below the hips steady. The photograph worked well but I considered editing the image to make the left and right sides more similar. "Womanly Curves"

The hour glass shape of a woman was emphasized by using a long exposure as she shifted her hips from one side to the other while trying to keep areas above and below the hips steady. The photograph worked well but I considered editing the image to make the left and right sides more similar. I eventually decided not to do that since it would detract from the feeling of a real photograph of a real woman. Movement during the exposure added softness to the wonderful femininity depicted in this black and white photo.
