Sacajawea was a Shoshone Indian who provided valuable help to Lewis and Clark in the early 1800's. She is buried at the Indian Cemetery near Fort Washakie on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. Sacajawea was a Shoshone Indian who provided valuable help to Lewis and Clark in the early 1800's. She is buried at the Indian Cemetery near Fort Washakie on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. I stopped to pay my respects to Sacajawea and recorded this black and white photograph of a beautiful cloud passing over the cemetery. Sacajawea's grave is marked by the largest monument in the cemetery and is located to the right of the photo's middle in front of the rightmost tree in the group of three trees of equal size.
